The Problem: Three runs under an existing active Golf Course. Three separate drives through silty sand and clay with a high water table. |

The Solution: Installation of Permalok Steel Casing Pipe eliminated down time for welding to allow continued progress of the tunnel through wet difficult soils. 36" PVC Carrier pipe was installed inside the Permalok Casing Pipe. Nix used an Akkerman TBM-WM58SC model 5000 68" diameter model using a 200 ton Jack Can with intermediate jacking stations.
