Report of Analysis
SAMPLE ID: Type 7, 74-1/2” PERMALOK Connector Joining System
SUBJECT: Hydrostatic Pressure Testing
TESTING SITE: Facility
PROCEDURE:

Testing blinds were attached to a shortened length of the connector assembly and placed into the test fixture. Prior to assembly and installation both male and female couplings were visually examined for proper tolerances, joint type and fit up. The coupling halves were then pressed together using the necessary jacks, shims and clamping fixtures. Figure 1 illustrates the typical set up and configuration of the fitted 74” Connector.

The sealed unit was then hydrostatic pressure tested with potable water to a pressure of 75 psi and held for 30 minutes. The pressure was then increased to 120 psi and held for an additional minutes.

The assembly braces were then removed from the test fixture, and the connector was then pressurized to 75 psi.

RESULTS:

No deformation or drop in pressure was noted during the testing of the above identified connector assembly.
